This documentation is designed to help you manage and understand your WordPress website independently. For advanced changes, please contact Firebrand Creative.

1. Introduction and Access

  • Purpose of this manual: To explain how to use the site, which technologies are in use, and how to perform basic maintenance.
  • Access credentials:
    • Main admin credentials are securely held by Firebrand Creative. Do not share them.
    • You will receive your own user credentials directly from Firebrand Creative.
    • End-user login: Go to msuqcore.org/wp-admin using the username and password provided by Firebrand Creative.
    • Recommendation: Change your password on first login and enable two-factor authentication (2FA).
  • Basic dashboard navigation: The left sidebar contains sections such as Posts, Pages, Appearance, etc.

2. Technologies and Technical Structure

This section explains what powers your site so you know what to expect and how to avoid breaking anything.

  • Core technologies:

  • Installed plugins:

  • Custom scripts and customizations:

    • BugHerd script — Added to the <head> section. This is a collaborative bug-tracking and feedback tool used between you and the development team.
  • Important warning: Do not edit PHP code directly unless you are experienced — it can break the site. Use the theme editor only for simple custom CSS.

  • How to edit content: Use the Elementor visual editor.

4. Daily Management and Maintenance

  • Uploading and editing content:

    • Images: Upload via Media Library. Recommended: max 1920 px width, prefer WebP format.
    • Pages / posts: Go to Pages → Add New (or Posts → Add New).
  • Security and backups:

    • Credential custody: Firebrand Creative
    • Backups: Automatic backups managed by WPMU DEV (stored on WPMU DEV infrastructure). Contact us if you need to restore.
  • Updates: Go to Dashboard → Updates. Update plugins, theme and WordPress core monthly — always create a backup first.

5. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Who holds the credentials if I lose access?
    Contact your Firebrand Creative representative immediately.

  • Where do I find a specific piece of content?
    Use the search bar at the top of the WordPress admin panel.

  • Can I install new plugins?
    Yes, but please consult Firebrand Creative first to avoid conflicts.

  • What happens if I delete a custom script?
    It may break important functionality. Do not remove or modify scripts without a backup and prior consultation.
